Join coach and Forerunners North Shore co-owner, Jerry Ziak, and train towards the Victoria Half Marathon or Marathon on October 8th and the Fall Classic Half Marathon on November 12th. The group meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 for interval training and on Saturday mornings at 8:00 for long runs. There are pace groups for a 2:30 half marathon level and faster (with marathon pace groups formed based on demand). We will have special rates for running clinic members looking to register for the Fall Classic. Please stay tuned.

What Can I Do To Prepare?

Runners should be capable of a 30 min run at an easy pace to begin training for this clinic.

What Should I Expect?

You should expect to find a fun group to run with. Our goal is to get you to the start line and feel good about your running. We have hands on coaching with group leaders for every pace group.

FAQ

  • Where will the training runs take place from?

    Every training run will begin and end at our North Vancouver location (980 Marine Drive).

  • What do I do for my non-group run days?

    Coach Jerry Ziak will provide a schedule of suggested runs to follow on non-Forerunners run days.

  • Are the clinic runs affected by weather?

    No, we'll run in the rain, wind, and sleet.

A longtime competitive athlete, Jerry has leveraged his passion for running to become a fantastic coach. He leads both the Wednesday night and Saturday morning Clinics in North Vancouver, as well as doing personal one-on-one coaching. He also has an impressive 20 years experience fitting running shoes – no small feat in itself!
