On Tuesday, March 23rd, at 6:30 PM Massage Therapist and Ultra-Marathoner, Adam Harris will be joining us for our Virtual Half and Full Marathon Clinic. Adam will be discussing the following topics:
1. Intro to self-care. What you can do to help improve your recovery between training sessions?
2. Trigger point release with lacrosse balls, softballs, and foam rollers.
3. Self- massage: when, how, and what muscles to target.
4. Other recovery techniques: contrast therapy, percussion therapy, compression therapy, etc.
You can drop into this Zoom presentation for $5. The expected duration will be between 45 and 60 minutes and Adam will be sticking around afterwards to answer any questions you may have.
About Adam:
Adam is a Registered Massage Therapist, working in the athletics space for the last five years with a focus on overuse and repetitive strain injuries, nerve injuries, and the maintenance and health of athletes throughout their training and racing cycles. His clientele ranges from amateur athletes completing their first road races and ultra-marathons, all the way up to professional athletes in the NHL, CFL, MLS, and extreme athletes competing for Red Bull and Cirque du Soleil.
Adam’s extensive experience as an ultra-marathon runner allows him to have the unique and shared perspective of many of his clients; given that he has raced extensively over the past 9 seasons in races ranging from road half-marathons up to 100-mile trail races and multi-day 100+ km unsupported adventure runs.  He enjoys a busy practice on the North Shore and lives in Squamish where he continues to pursue mountain and outdoor activities.
