Run for H2O
is more than just a run. The annual event is more than just an initiative to bridge communities, friends, and families. It is more than just an opportunity for runners to conquer a 10-km or 5-km distance, for kids to enjoy the outdoors on a Saturday morning, for volunteers to kind-heartedly serve in a wide range of roles, and for sponsors and donors to generously give through goods, services or financial support.
At the heart of Run for H2O is a passion and calling to help those in need — and for the past 6 years, the Run continues to focus on the cause, first and foremost.
Find out more about this cause; about HOPE International, the new partnership with PentaSport, and our progress in helping deliver clean water systems to villages in Guatemala.
Run For H20 Vancouver is a community run for all ages to raise funds for sustainable clean water projects in developing countries. Vancouver, B.C., is hosting its 6th annual Run For H2O fundraiser for clean water in Guatemala while Sherwood Park, AB, is hosting its 4th annual fundraiser benefiting those in Ethiopia.
In 2017, the event featured more than 300 participants and over $100,000 raised. The entire initiative is organized and led by volunteers and 100% of the funds raised goes directly to the water projects through our charity HOPE International Development Agency. The local communities and villages are thoroughly educated on how to maintain the systems, ensuring they have access to clean water for life. All processing fees and event costs are covered by our sponsors and registrations fees.
