Michelle Valancius started running with Forerunners on 4th Avenue as a Participate doing Marathon Run clinic summer of 2003. She did her first Marathon Clinic for Victoria October 2003 and shortly after that she became a Run leader. She spent Ten years volunteering as a Run leader on Wednesday nights and Saturdays for Scotia Half Marathon Clinic.She is back after taking time off to become a florist.

She has a spine disorder called Scoliosis – curvature of the spine. When she was twelve years old she had surgery, Doctors placed a ten inch steel rod attached to her spine. She didn’t walk for six months and NO activity for Two years. Her first sport was rugby and she has been active ever since.

She completed in many running distances and triathlons including Ironman twice to make sure the first time wasn’t a dream!

She volunteers as self funded Local, Canadian and National Technical Triathlon Official. She has taken Level one Community Triathlon Coaching Clinic.

She is excited to be back sharing all my experiences whether they be the good, bad & ugly at the Main Street location!
